At Suryoday Jan Sewa Samiti, we value the trust of our donors and strive to be transparent in all our operations. This policy outlines our procedures for handling refund and cancellation requests to ensure that your experience with us is both positive and supportive.

Scope of the Policy

This refund and cancellation policy applies to all online donations and contributions made through our official website, fundraising events, or other authorized channels. This policy does not apply to contributions made through third-party fundraising platforms, for which separate refund policies may be applicable.

Donation Refund Policy

We appreciate every donation made to support our mission and values. However, if you made a donation in error or wish to adjust the amount, we will honor your request under the following conditions:

• The refund request must be submitted within 7 days from the date of donation.
• Refunds can be processed only for donations of ₹1000 or above.
• Proof of the original donation, such as a receipt or transaction ID, must be provided.

If approved, the refund will be processed using the same method of payment used during the donation. Please note that processing times may vary depending on your payment provider.

Event Registration Refunds

We occasionally organize fundraising events and seminars to support our cause. In case of event cancellations or changes in schedule, registrants are entitled to a full refund. If you are unable to attend an event, refund requests can be made under these terms:

• Cancellation requests must be submitted at least 10 days prior to the event date.
• In case of emergencies or unforeseen circumstances, partial refunds will be considered on a case-by-case basis.
• Refunds will be issued via the original payment method or as a credit toward future events.

Membership and Recurring Donations

Our organization offers membership options and the ability to set up recurring donations. You can cancel a recurring donation or membership at any time. For cancellations, please notify us at least 15 days before the next scheduled payment.

How to Request a Refund or Cancellation

If you wish to request a refund or cancel a donation, please provide us with the following information:

• Full name and contact details (email and phone number).
• Donation amount, date, and receipt or transaction ID.
• A brief description of why you are requesting a refund or cancellation.

Refund Approval and Processing

Refunds are approved on a case-by-case basis. If a refund request is approved, you will receive a confirmation email, and the refund will be processed within 7-10 business days. Refunds may be delayed if sufficient documentation is not provided or in case of payment provider delays.
